Helena Carrington

I love these images by Helena Carrington
Her inspiration for designs are travel, and foreign countries, especially Italy and France; buildings, streets, colours, textures, anything she discovers while wandering the winding streets of Italian towns.

I especially love these pictures, she looks like she has used a continuous line, I also like the fact she hasn't coloured in the whole thing, which I think would take away from the effect.

  2. Her use of space is very competent. The way she “draws” the images is so confident and “right”. Architectural drawings are very hard to get right; I do not mean realistic, just balanced and showing the character of the buildings. I also like the way she places flat coloured areas in the background and then adds linear details on top. Lots of inspiration for all of us.
